    • Slovakia can end up in Pot 4. Hungary, Denmark, Ireland and Norway can all pass them with points earned through the playoffs.

      • Are you sure that further points will be given for playoff matches?

        • We looked into this. Appears that points are set for the final draw. The rules don’t explicitly say “playoffs don’t count”, but in the section regarding how points are calculated for the finals, it lists “group matches” for the qualifying cycle. That can be interpreted as “the playoffs don’t count”. We’ll remove the min and max column and fix the graphic. Thanks!

According to the regulations of EURO-2016 play-off matches are not counted in national team coefficients (Page 49). So minimum and maximum columns are wrong. All coefficients of the teams including the teams in the play-offs are final for the final draw.

Is there an explanation to these rankings? I don’t understand the calculations on the coefficients.

    • They are usually in the Appendix of competition rules. Check the UEFA site and the appendices from the EURO 2016 regulations. Don’t have the link off hand
