African Cup of Nations – Semifinal Update

We are down to the Final 4 teams in the African Cup of Nations.  The one massive surprise was Ivory Coast getting knocked out by Nigeria.  A late goal by Sunday Mba was the difference in the match.  The Ivorians were stunned yet again.

Ghana is now the favorite according to oddsmakers with Nigeria not far behind.  At this point, it is foolish to wager on an outright champion.  Take Ghana on Wednesday to advance to the finals at even money.  Beyond that, my AFCON run is done.

Following along with We Global throughout the tournament would leave you holding Mali champions at +1600 and Ghana champions at +550.  It has been a fun tournament, but at this point it is Ghana’s to lose.
