World Cup 2022 Draw Simulator

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will commence in November 2022. The final draw for the World Cup is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 1st. 29 teams are known and the last 3 will go into Pot 4. The playoffs will take place in June.

We decided to build a tool that will allow each of you to run things on your own and simulate the draw. Here is a view of our World Cup 2022 Draw Simulator.

You can get the file for FREE here: DOWNLOAD THE SIMULATOR

** PLEASE NOTE: The file does work best with Microsoft Excel on PC **

The draw abides by the following principles:

  • Only 1 team per confederation in each group (with the exception of UEFA with a max of 2)
  • Minimum one UEFA team in each group
  • For the teams in the inter-confederation playoffs, they will not be drawn into a group where they can be paired with someone from the same confederation.
  • The UEFA Path A Playoff winner can be drawn into a group with one other UEFA team

Please let us know if you encounter any issues with the file. The World Cup is almost here and our World Cup 2022 Draw Simulator is a free and fun tool ahead of the draw. Enjoy.
